Our story

A Family Story, an Ever-Evolving Tradition

The story of Frantoio Paolocci began in Vetralla, in the heart of Tuscia viterbese, and spans over a century of work, family, and olive oil culture.

A story that started with stone mills and grew through generations who knew how to preserve the knowledge received, updating tools, methods, and technologies over time.

For us, tradition doesn't mean standing still. It means knowing your roots and continuing to evolve them.

The Early Twentieth Century

At the beginning of the twentieth century, Lawyer Agostino Paolocci, a passionate farmer and owner of olive groves in the surrounding countryside, purchased an ancient traditional stone mill.

The mill, one of the most renowned and appreciated in the town, was located near a fountain nestled within the walls of ancient Vetralla.

Agostino Paolocci began to dedicate himself with great care to processing the olives produced by the family business, transforming the mill into a benchmark for a tradition already deeply rooted in the territory.

From the First to the Second Generation

Over the years, Agostino was joined by his son Marcello Paolocci.

The knowledge related to olive processing thus passed from one generation to the next, maintaining the family nature of the business and strengthening the link between the Paolocci name, the Vetralla territory, and the production of extra virgin olive oil.

Techniques, experience, and knowledge of the raw material became a shared heritage, destined to be passed on and updated over time.

November 21, 1975: The Company is Officially Founded

On November 21, 1975, the company Frantoio F.lli Paolocci was registered with the Chamber of Commerce.

Since then, despite undergoing production transformations, generational changes, and significant technological investments, the company has maintained the same company name.

A rare element that speaks to the continuity and solidity of a business that has remained true to its identity.

Equipment changes, processes evolve, markets grow. The name remains the same.

2000 and the New Headquarters on Via Cassia

A decisive step came in 2000, with the construction of the new headquarters on Via Cassia, at kilometer 69.500.

The move to a more modern facility allowed the business to grow and meet the needs of local olive growers.

Frantoio Paolocci progressively became a reference point for olive processing in Tuscia, expanding its production capacity and investing in more advanced systems.

The new headquarters does not represent a break with the past, but the necessary step to bring a long family tradition into a contemporary production reality.

From Stone Mills to Modern Technology

Over time, the traditional mill has given way to increasingly precise, efficient, and controllable processing systems.

Today, Frantoio Paolocci in Vetralla uses modern technologies to monitor every phase of the production process, from olive reception to oil packaging.

The oil is cold-extracted, without water addition during the process, then filtered, stored, and packaged directly at the mill.

Technology does not erase the knowledge built over time: it makes it more precise, controllable, and capable of meeting current needs for quality, food safety, and traceability.

A Tradition Carried Forward by the Family

Today, the Paolocci family continues to directly oversee the mill's activities, keeping alive the relationship between experience, responsibility, and daily presence in the company.

The knowledge handed down from previous generations combines with the search for new production solutions, the selection of raw materials, and the control of the entire process.

The value of family is not only in remembering origins, but in the continuity with which every decision is faced.

Behind every bottle of Paolocci extra virgin olive oil are people, expertise, and a story that continues to be lived every day.

The Link with Vetralla and Tuscia

Frantoio Paolocci has always operated in Vetralla, a territory historically linked to olive cultivation and oil production.

Tuscia is not just the place where the mill is located: it is part of the company's identity.

Here coexist local varieties, agricultural knowledge, food culture, and a long olive-growing tradition. A heritage that Frantoio Paolocci enhances through olive processing, the production of certified oils, and attention to the origin of the raw material.

The link with the territory is also expressed in the production of DOP Tuscia Oil, IGP Rome Oil, organic oils, and monovarietal selections.

From the Territory to Italian and International Markets

Over the years, Frantoio Paolocci has progressively expanded its activity.

The oil produced and packaged in Vetralla now reaches customers in Italy and abroad, bringing with it the identity of Tuscia and the family's history.

Growth has not changed the basic principle of the work: carefully monitoring the raw material, controlling the process, and offering a reliable and recognizable product.

A local story capable of speaking to an increasingly wide audience.

A New Identity for a Continuing Story

The renewal of Frantoio Paolocci's identity stems from the desire to more clearly represent what the company has become.

A historic oil mill, but not stuck in the past.

A family business, but organized according to modern criteria.

A reality deeply rooted in Tuscia, yet capable of competing in national and international markets.

The new visual and productive language tells this evolution: solid roots, technology, quality, sustainability, and a contemporary vision of extra virgin olive oil.

The New Tradition of Olive Oil

From ancient stone mills to modern extraction plants, Frantoio Paolocci's journey has been characterized by a constant choice: to evolve without losing its identity.

Each generation has added experience, knowledge, and new tools to a story that began more than a century ago.

A story that continues in Vetralla, in the same territory and under the same name.
